  1. It proves that a simple cut or small sore diabetic can lead to worse scenarios if ignored. In worst case scenarios, it can lead to gangrene, amputation of the whole affected limb, or the risk of death. That is why preventive measures must be practiced early on and regularly to prevent any of these from happening.

  2. It's incredible that 85% of the amputations occur because of foot infections. I have always been careful when i cut my toe nails, but I have struggles to find a good pair of shoes that fit well. However, in keeping the feet clean, i follow some of the advice of some doctors I know. They posted some of their tips online if anyone is curious (http://www.footscientific.com/diabetic-foot). I personally have had no problem with my feet after following their advice. Good Luck.

  3. This is one of my biggest fears. I check mine and now I have a thermometer to check my temp on my feet and that is a HUGE help in prevention. Calgary Foot Surgeon

  4. Trigeminal neuralgia is associated with severe and intense pain conditions in the face originating from the trigeminal nerve. Different trigeminal neuralgia treatment is available but no significant claims, they are successful survivors of this disease that are diagnosed early. Long term diagnosis may result to permanent nerve damage which will make you suffer for a very long period of time.

  8. This post along with video is very informative for diabetic patients. As prolonged diabetic patients are highly susceptible to diabetic neuropathy causing serious health issues. However some simple portable machines like Biothesiometer, Cardiac Autonomic Neuropathy Testing etc are quite helpful in initial stages.

  9. My grandfather actually just passed away because of his diabetes causing infections throughout his legs. This definitely is something that really is good to address when it comes to dealing with that kind of disease. I agree that making sure to go to the foot doctor is a great way to ensure that you get the best help you can. http://www.westmorelandfootdoctor.com/Bunion_Treatment_Greensburg_PA.html
